This is the second time buying this and I notice that it does not "beed" the water as well as the first time on my other car. I did the prep work and application the same but I notice the outcome is not the same.

After a wash, clay bar, and polish, I applied this to two of my vehicles - a 2014 Chevrolet Volt and a 2008 Chevrolet Suburban. It was barely enough, but given that the Suburban is a HUGE vehicle, this was not a surprise. After 2 months and a couple hand washes (just to remove dust / sediment as your car CAN still get dirty ... just not as easily ... and when it does, it's quite quick to clean), the coating is still extremely hydrophobic - more so than wax after just a few weeks. For those that claim this is no better than wax, perhaps they had preparation or application issues. That said, we'll see how the coating does over a Michigan winter, but considering how easy this was to apply and how it has held up so far, I'm pretty satisfied with it. So why only 4 stars? Well, as others have pointed out, the instructions are pretty bad - incomplete (i.e. very little information about recommended vehicle prep), lacking detail even in the application steps, and poorly translated. That said, the company has published a few YouTube videos that are certainly useful, and I'd recommend folks consult those.

So I bought this for my wife's 20 year old maxima. Yes, it was looking tired. Don't believe any product that tells you you can do the short cuts. I washed it, clay barred it, machine polished it with a 7 inch buffer using 3M "finesse it", (super expensive product but very good marine polish). I then washed the car again then went over it with Isopropyl alcohol. I then applied the ceramic coating, and this was the easiest part of the weekend. The results are great. a good depth of gloss to the paint and good water beading after three months. the car looks amazing and not like a 20 year old paint job.The only reason i gave it 4 stars are in the details. the specs say you should have enough for 2 medium cars, and the actual coating will probably have enough to do my SL500 because its tiny. not an issue there, but the instructions say to spray the surface with their "special application spray (sorry, but its been a while since I did it and cant remember the correct name) prior to applying the ceramic to make the sponge glide better. I was very frugal with the spray, but still ran out 2 panels before the end. I filled it with water and finished the car, with no apparent detriment to the outcome. the other problem is they say to put 8 to 10 drops of product at a time on the sponge and it should do 2 sq. ft. Seems to be accurate but the problem is they do not include a dropper or hole in the bottle. I had to drill a hole in the top of the bottle before I could get anything out. I ended up with a very small hole (try drilling a hole in the plastic top) so did 15ish drops to achieve the results. I love the product but get annoyed when things are supplied not as described, or making it more difficult to use than it should be. The devil is in the details!!

I used on my pearl White (White Orchid) 2017 Accord. My car is 37months old and still showroom condition. No scratches or dents, garaged. I wash it at least once a week. It's meticulously maintained with MEGUIAR'S G18216 Ultimate Liquid Wax, and Meguiar's Xpress Spray Wax, so it's always shiny, so I was debating if I should apply ceramic coating, but did it any way. That being said, I knew it will require a lot of work to prep my car. I recommend start performing this process early morning and when weather is not very hot (below 80°F). This is what I did: - Washed my car (@ the drive thru car wash) - Soaped & Clayed - Washed and dried (@ the drive thru car wash) - Buffed it with dual action polisher with Meguiar's G17220 Ultimate Compound - Washed and dried (@ the drive thru car wash), then cancelled my monthly (unlimited) car wash service. - Sprayed the entire car with 25% isopropyl alcohol/75% distilled water - Inspected the enitre car for any possible "elements" missed and swirls marks. All is clear. - Applied the ceramic coating following the instructions/video tutorial. At this point, it is now 83degrees in my garage. - I did it by sections, starting with the entire front hood is done into four quadrants. Drops of the ceramic formula is done on the applicator for each quadrant. THEN WAITED 2MINUTES. Then wiped the ENTIRE HOOD WITH DUMP MICROFIBER SUPPLIED. - Don't let it TOO dry before you do the dump microfiber, OR YOU'LL BE IN TROUBLE. - AFTER I WAS DONE, I WAITED TWO HOURS, TOOK A REST. At this point of time, it is now 90°F in my garage - Then inspected everything to make sure that all is perfect. The ceramic is now very dry and I could now see the BIG DIFFERENCE. DEEP GLOSS & SHINY BUT WITHOUT THE SMOOTH FEEL YET. I believe it takes several hours to a day before you get the slick feel/touch. - After the two hour wait, using the Mothers 156501 Yellow Applicator Pad, I applied the Collinite 845 Insulator Wax over the ceramic coating on the entire car. Why not, I have a new bottle that I have not used yet. * I started at 8AM and finished at 7PM. Note that drive thru car wash is only minute away from my house that's why I did the washes at the car wash. * Right after the Collinite 845 Insulator Wax, the RESULT IS AMAZING! IT IS NOW HAS BOTH THE DEEP GLOSS FINISH & VERY SMOOTH TO TOUCH* Will it last? Who knows. Most common reviews regarding it's longevity, were NOT VERY GOOD. Upon application, a pre-treatment, which basically water(?) being diluted with, when the ceramic formula is applied. This is probably the reason why that this product's LONGEVITY suffers. That's why I'm only giving it 4stars. * I will now have to hand wash my car to prolong it's life, and will use the Meguiar's Xpress Spray Wax every AFTER washing the car. Note that the Meguiar's Xpress Spray Wax should be used only after the car has been dried, not when the car is still wet, for better results.

The kit was pretty straightforward as far as application. I decided on splitting the time that you leave the ceramic coating on before you go over it with the wet towel to 3 minutes. I found it to work out very nicely, it left a super shinny clear gloss layer on my Accord. I only have one complaint and it may be that it was just the sprayer in my kit, but the Pre-treatment bottle kept acting like there was no liquid in the bottle and would not keep spraying a steady mist like it should have. I have to say that is is definitely worth the money which is not that much. When compared to the rear quarter panel on my car where I had not yet done the rear bumper part. You could definitely see the difference between the part of the quarter-panel that I had done against the bumper section that I hadn't. The treated side had a very super shiny clear, hard looking layer to it. Almost as if it had a new coat of clear and the un-treated part had no clear-coat on it at all. Since I live in Washington it will not be long before I can try it out in the rain and see how well it does at keeping the car clean.

After I opened the box (unsealed and opened) possibly due to customs? There was no coated sponge in the box. Not a big deal but I expected it.

It's a good ceramic coating, however, besides the fact Color N drive send you a very nice e beautiful pack, the information about using the product is very poor. You will need to email them to ask about how to use it safely, if you don't have experience on aplying coatings. It seems simple, but it's not !

Great product love the packaging and the speedy delivery but the instructions are bad one video say do one thing another another way I recommend a good wash and clay bar before use for the best results but diffinately would recommend this product

Just applied today. After watching a lot of videos to ensure I was doing it properly, it went on easily. My only concern is that I wanted to apply 2 coats, but the video says apply the pre-treatment liberally, I have only enough to do my hood a second time. Also, they say use 7-10 drops of the ceramic, my bottle did not have any way to get that precise. Had to take the lid off and pour on pad, probably used more than needed because there is probably not enough to complete the care again. I have to wait and see how well it works over the next few weeks, need some precipitation to see. Would have been a 5 star otherwise.

I bought this sometime in Nov 2017 and used it in the middle of Feb 2018. Even during the cold season, it did not crystallized on me, so that was good. Reading the negative reviews, I was afraid to put this on my new sports car, so I did a test first. I already had Xzilon coating and partial clear bra on the car, so I tested it on the bra, and it turned out fine. Then I did the entire front (hood, grill, front bumper, fender, etc) of my car following the instructions. It seems like this coating requires more steps than ones from other vendors, but it was not so bad. I put the coating on with no issues. I did messed up at one spot on my bra -- there is a thumb-sized smudge that I did not buff out, but the rest of the coated areas look good. I'm going to do the rest of my car next weekend and will do at minimum two layers. If it turns out great, I'll update the review and also upgrade to 5 stars.

Instructions video should have a narration instead of music. Found better instructions off YouTube. Product applies easy does create a smoother surface and shine to the paint finish. I would reccomend this product.
